| 2 HOUR TOUR • This tour brings you down river through Blue Creek in the Ocala National Forest. This creek is a unique habitat and in the warmer months is a prime feeding area for the manatee. Alligator encounters are plentiful year around. We will leave this creek behind to re-enter the St. Johns River by the pristine Lake George, Florida’s second largest lake which is surrounded by the Ocala National forest on the west and the Lake George State Forest on the east. After Lake George we will return on the St. Johns River to Astor 3 HOUR TOUR • This tour we will go up river to explore Alexander run and other tributaries. We will venture into the Ocala National Forest, Alexander Spring wildlife Management Area and Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. • Another option for this tour is to venture deep into Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge via Lake Dexter, Tick Creek, Lake Woodruff, and Spring Garden Creek. This tour we will run some areas at a accelerating pace of 25mph on the open lakes to get to the creeks where you will experience in the winter months the migratory bird populations. 4 HOUR TOUR • Same tour as above allowing more time to go ashore for a half hour hike into the refuge and a shore lunch (you provide a box lunch, or arrangements can be made by one of our local restaurants) This is a seasonal tour please call for info. |
